Today is National Prayer day.

On Thursday, May 5, 2022, our country (the United States) will observe National Day of Prayer.

The National Day of Prayer was established in 1952 as a day for people of all religions to pray for our country.

Section 119 of Title 36 of the United States Code states:
“Every year, the President shall issue a proclamation establishing the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer, on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and individually.”

This implies that the National Day of Prayer isn’t simply a nice holiday; it’s also a legal requirement that the President write a proclamation encouraging Americans to pray every year! for more information you can go to https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/

Thank you, Lord, despite the storms and the rain, you kept us safe. Thank you for keeping my family and friends safe.

Lord,
Please provide our teachers with an abundance of Your knowledge. Prepare their hearts to accept and love our loved ones, and may we return the love and respect. Give them grace as they assist struggling students, courage to say what needs to be said, tools and information about how and when to speak love, and strength when they feel weak. Remind them that no moment passes missed if they feel invisible. Every day, they are influencing the future generation. We are deeply grateful for the gift of education they have given to our children. Lord, bless them and may they see a glimpse of how their faithfulness will last forever. AMEN.
